One of the most common electrostatic preventative items is a bag. The use of protective bags began in the 1960s with the introduction of pink poly bags. Electrostatic shielding bags were introduced in the late 1970s. While the military has long used moisture barrier bags, the proliferation of Surface Mount Technology has greatly increased usage.
Polyshield HD was developed specifically to provide electrostatic shielding for PCBAs, components and other electrostatic sensitive electronic assemblies.
It has been formulated to provide sensitive components with protection against electrostatic discharges combined with good optical clarity and low levels of ionic contamination.
Available with zip lock.
Available with a resealable or permanent adhesive tape (as alternative to ziplock).
Available with anti-static bubble bag inside for extra protection.

Polyshield HD electrostatic shielding bags are buried-metal type, ensuring long term integrity of the metal layer.
Aluminium is sandwiched between 2 plastic layers to ensure that it will not oxidise or be exposed to abrasion, unlike outer metal bags.

Polyproof MT 1000 is a cost effective packing material for packaging ESD and Moisture Sensitive components that do not require long term storage. (Just in Time logistics have reduced the time components spend in stock which makes Polyproof MT 1000 an ideal, cost-effective, packing medium for the packaging of SMD's in trays, tubes, tape and reels, and disk caddies.)
Polyproof MT 1000 is a 95 microns (3.8 mils) thickness bag with an 18 lb puncture resistance.
It meets the requirements of the industry standard MIL-81705C type 1 class 1 and has an MVTR/WVTR of 0.30 g/m2 per 24 hrs or 0.02 g/100in2.
